Carbon

Carbon accounting and decarbonisation

We measure your greenhouse gas emissions to the GHG Protocol, set up the records regulators, banks and customers expect and build a practical plan to reduce them.

UAE Climate Law ยท Federal Decree-Law No. 11 of 2024

The law applies to all companies in the UAE, including free zones, but emissions reporting is currently required only of the largest emitters: in Abu Dhabi, facilities in key sectors emitting over 25,000 tonnes of CO2e a year, and nationally, companies emitting over 0.5 million tonnes. For most companies reporting is voluntary for now. The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment is still finalising its guidance, and thresholds are expected to widen over time.

From your invoices to a lower-carbon business

Most of the data sits with finance: fuel, electricity, refrigerants and travel. We work with your team to turn it into a reliable inventory.

  1. Set boundaries

Agree which entities, sites and activities are covered.

  2. Collect data

Gather activity data, mostly from existing finance and operations records.

  3. Calculate

Build your inventory to the GHG Protocol: Scope 1 and 2 as the baseline, plus Scope 3 where banks, investors or customers ask for it.

  4. Decarbonise

Set targets and a reduction plan with costed actions, from energy efficiency to fleet and refrigerants.

  5. Report and keep records

Prepare your submission and set up records so next year takes a fraction of the effort.
